What to Wear on Your Motorcycle?

www.netquote.com

While everybody wants to look good when they are out on the town on the motorcycle or in the car, there are actually a few things that you should keep in mind whether you are trying to look good or not. These are not required by law or meant to make you look like the best looking kid in class, but they will make you feel better about you ride in the first place. Get out your paper and pen and take down a few notes from the experts on what you should be wearing on your next ride.

* You may not think that they look cool or they may not be required by your local or federal government, but you need to wear a helmet at all times during your next motorcycle jaunt. Reasons vary from saving your life, to shading your eyes from the sun, or keeping bugs from slapping you in the face. Whatever the reason, wearing a helmet while on your motorcycle should be a top priority.* Be smart about the jackets and pants you wear when you get on your bike by wearing things that are thick and protective. If by the grace of God you survive a motorcycle accident you don’t want to be in worse shape because you were wearing a t-shirt and shorts, be smart!* Wearing boots or gloves may not be your style, but it will help you because of the vibrations of the bike or the rough terrain you will be riding over. You don’t have to look like Cowboy Tex with your boots or Tom Greenthumb with your gloves, just make sure you do it to protect your legs and hands from unnecessary pain.

On top of this, if you want to fit into the motorcycle driving crowd, then you need to get a shirt with flames or metal on it to be a true motorcyclist. If you don’t have something black on when you get on your motorcycle then you probably aren’t the stereotypical motorcyclist from the start!
