Much like starting work at a job with a group of people who have worked together for ages, you are entering a field with a plethora of inside jokes and terminology that stumps you from the first minute. The same people that don’t like the idea of the Trike are going to be generally upset with a motor scooter because it seems to have sold out to the idea of safety over style. Many aging riders or riders with safety concerns will choose a motor scooter because of its ease of use. In addition, being in the day in age we are with gas prices, a motor scooter would be a wise choice when it comes to spending money on gasoline as it uses a significant amount less than most motorcycles do. Because of the limited speed capabilities and design of a motor scooter some would debate its general place with motorcycles at all, but it does hold a spot in the world because of its mode of transportation.
Choppers have become increasingly popular in recent years because of popular television shows and clothing promoting the name, but the idea is older than you think. Mainly dating back to soldiers returning from war, the idea is to “chop” off everything that you don’t need everyday on every ride to make for a more streamlined and easy to use machine. Some people may refer to these as “custom” motorcycles because with the idea of chopping you are essentially making a bike that is personal to you, even though somebody may have a bike with the exact same specifications.
